Sarah is a glassblower originally from San Francisco, Day is a blacksmith originally from North Carolina.
They met, fell in love, and have continued to make art together and separately in beautiful
Seagrove, North Carolina.
Historically a pottery town, Sarah and Day have chosen to showcase their unique sculptures here to help support their community. Everything is made from recycled glass or metal and new materials are rarely used.
Sarah A. Band was raised in San Francisco’s Bay Area’s Silicon Valley by a family of physicists. Needless to say science, technology, and anatomy heavily influence Sarah’s work. She attended San Francisco State University and received her Bachelors in Fine Art in 2011. She first came to North Carolina in 2014 as a Starworks intern. She then co-ran The Olio, in Winston-Salem, as their Artistic Director for six years.
Currently, Sarah is working as Starworks' Gallery Assistant and selling her own work through
Day Davis is a blacksmith and metal artist whose work uses upcycled and found objects. Day is originally from Robbin, NC. He is a jack-of-all-trades, having worked everything from construction to tattoo shops. Day currently works from home on commissioned projects and continues to progress in creating a place for our own shop.
